Such beautiful thoughts and memories posted on here of Emily.....what an amazing young lady to have made such a lasting impression on so many people. Her family must be so proud and I hope in time it may bring them some comfort. Our memories of Emily......The familiar shout from Phoebe, “Mum, I’m just going on FaceTime to do Science/Maths homework with Emily”. Then for the next hour or so, there would be constant chatter, giggling and singing coming from the bedroom, with no sign of any homework being done at all. But who can blame them.....as it sounded much more fun than Trigonometry or The Periodic Table ever could be! I recall the day Richard (Phoebe’s Dad) took Emily and Phoebe to Brighton. They dragged him around all the shops, especially the small quirky ones in The Lanes. Although he would never admit it, he had just as much, if not more fun, than the girls! And when he came home, he said that thanks to Emily, he now knew all about Crystals and their Healing Properties....and that it was actually very interesting! During Lockdown, Phoebe and Emily whiled away the time on Lockdown, and their constant chatter and singing never failed to make me smile. Then when Lockdown was lifted, the beach became their favourite place to meet. Happy lazy, sunny days spent sunbathing and swimming. Evenings spent on the beach, watching the Sun set, then dancing on the sand, jumping the waves and making wacky videos. You crazy, crazy girls! Rich would park up in the beach carpark, keeping an eye on them from a distance, as it was getting late and dark but not wanting to stop the party, as they were having so much fun. Sunsets will forever remind us of you, Emily. Thank you Emily for being the kindest, dearest, funniest, sweetest and most wonderful friend to our daughter. Just thank you for being you. We hope you know how very special you were to Phoebe, and how much she loved you. You are forever and always in our hearts. xxx
